Back to wonderful, sunny, populated Burbank – just me and Tomar!. I am so bad about updating this blog, but I have been running around trying to organize our new home and make it comfortable. There’s still so much to do, but I love it here! I have a feeling my new surroundings are going to skyrocket my artistic motivation and get me back into a lot of unfinished projects. I am sorry for everyone who was keeping up with Aminals – the story seemed to be getting too big and I noticed a lot of comments were wondering “why this” and “why that” so I felt it best to slow it down and really think out the next chapter of the story…but you know! I’ve been dragging my butt on that. I guess my heart is focused on youtube right now since it has the potential to make enough money for Tomar and I to live on…and I am working very hard to try and get there! I really do love all the people who have supported Aminals over the years it’s run…I really am astonished I was able to do as much as I did and keep up with it regularly, but I promise it has not been abandoned!

And now, on a more serious note…A good friend and inspiring animator passed away not too long ago. Edd. Pay some respect and watch some of his videos. He was truly wonderful.

Coming soon, another animation jam collab based on Mass Effect 3 with Hans, ElCid, Egoraptor, Rubberninja, Tomamoto, and me! Here is my alternate ending that we did not end up using, but I posted it anyway.

Last but not least, a new Sergio and Bear cartoon. One more episode aught to finish the story!

Lots of stuff to share! I spent a week in Florida with family and had such a great time! February was a fantastic month. Before I left my roommates and I saw the fantastic Wicked the Musical (been wanting to see it since I was in high school) and while I was in Florida all us ladies went out and saw La Nouba! Both were amazing! I also went to this airplane museum called Fantasy of Flight. I thought it was going to be boring, but I was pleasantly surprised! They had this awesome walk-through exhibit that took you through the inside of an old airplane (it’s a tight fit!) and old-timey movies of some ridiculous airplane designs that never worked. They had so many different types of planes there….and artillery! Guns mounted off of war planes that looked like they belonged in Star Wars!
I got to help out my parents dig a giant stump out of their lawn and then move a big palm tree into the stump-hole. It took a few hours, but we got it done! The neighbors even came over to help out. I got painfully stabbed in the arm by a prickly thing on the tree and it’s still sort of swollen. My brother and sister-in-law, who live a few houses away, were doing some intense yard work and re-landscaping too, so everyone was busy! I can’t wait to see pictures of the finished landscaping!

In other news, I have been sweating bullets over the SOPA debate. Are these people really suited to be deciding the fate of the internet for our country? I don’t think so.

Apologies for the lack of updates to my web comic, Aminals, for those of you who care and read it regularly. I need to get through some other stress before I can sit down and concentrate on drawings. In the meantime though, I shared this picture that was drawn for a generous donator a while back on the Aminals FB page…but it might as well be said to everyone who reads my comic. ‘Cuz you’re all fantastic.

No one knew who I was, but that’s alright. I enjoyed the exposure and even met a few cool people, like Sam Cube who makes this really great web comic called Wondercraft. He was a big ‘ol sweetheart! I really like his work, so you should definitely give his site a look if you don’t already know who he is!
Our panel on Storytelling with Minecraft seemed to go down really well. I am EXTREMELY uncomfortable talking in front of large crowds of people and I didn’t expect so many people to actually show up! We got this huge room and a lot of it was full. We got to show off a clip from our new cartoon (Admincraft) and lots of other stuff. I hope we can do it again next year!

After the con we had some fun making trouble in the casino…I didn’t get to play my favorite game (roulette) but we got to see Deadmau5 in concert. Mosh pits aren’t really my thing, but Deadmau5 has some nice tunes. Our friend, Ross, branched off somewhere in the night and ended up having some sort of situation similar to that movie The Hangover.
So I’m back home now. Getting back into the swing of things…lots of work to do. And all I can think of are video games! I really want to get a chance to finish Skyrim and start Skyward Sword. :)

It was a bit of a last minute surprise since I don’t really play Minecraft, but I am very familiar with the game and I’ve watched countless hours of Tomar maintaining the Guardbreak Minecraft Server. We’re also planning for a Minecraft cartoon for youtube, so it would be better for me to get even more familiar with all of it.

Our friend Ross (rubberninja) will be hosting a panel on animation there! We will be on the panel with him, talking about a new animation we have planned. I’m looking forward to seeing some cool updates, new games, and sick costumes at the con. Hope to see you there!

To start, Tomamoto and I got our youtube account signed on with Machinima. So now our Youtube videos run ads and make a little more money than they did before. Yay! We are still keeping a goal of trying to update the channel 1ce a month with a new video. Currently we’re working on Sergio and Bear 3 and have lots of plans for future shorts and toons. We’re still working on uploading older stuff to get everyone familiar with our youtube channel.

In other news, it’s been a hard struggle with money lately. We just moved to a big house in Palmdale, an hour away from where we used to live, so we’re been working to fix the place up and turn it into our new home. It’s been almost 2 months now and we’re still not QUITE there yet…but it’s coming along nicely and we’re all a lot less stressed with all the space here. Today, one of my roommates left to be on a show called The Tester. We are all excited to hear about the shenanigans he’s going to cause on the set. The show will air sometime next year, so be sure to tune in if you have a PS3! My other roommate has been working hard on her own youtube channel with make up tutorials

My Web Comic, Aminals, took a little downgrade since I’ve been so busy. It now only updates 1ce a week as opposed to 3 because I noticed my updates were getting incredibly sloppy and it was getting harder and harder to keep up with. Now I will have more time to put some effort into those pages and give it a little TLC.

I’ve been working hard, but apparently not hard enough. As a last resort, I opened for ‘adult’ commissions sometime in September under a new alias. I’ve been building that alias a little more so that I have some sort of regular income…which explains my absence. So far it’s working! I made rent easily last month and I did even better for October…however, I really don’t want to be doing adult commissions forever. My hopes are that I can branch over to something else later…but who knows. Maybe I’ll get stuck in the adult industry.
